Slumber Party Vol. I, es un proyecto que gira en torno a los Compañeros Imaginarios y las Realidades Imaginarias (IC e IR, en adelante), y su papel desde la infancia hasta nuestro desarrollo en la adultez. Slumber Party viene a reevaluar el propósito de los IR e IC y, por otro lado, la transfiguración y contribución de estos entornos en el desarrollo de diferentes realidades (digitales o mixtas) a través de los avances tecnológicos.
Slumber Party Vol. I is a project that goes around Imaginary Companions and Imaginary Realities (IC and IR, hereafter), and their role from childhood to our development in adulthood. Slumber Party comes to reassess the purpose of IR and IC and, on the other hand, the transfiguration and contribution of these environments in the development of different realities (digital or mixed) through technological advances.
Los IC e IR son entidades intangibles que han probado ser de vital importancia en el desempeño de los niños y adolescentes como herramienta a la hora de gestionar el estrés, trauma y nuevos desafíos. De esta forma la “materialización” de los IR a través de las nuevas tecnologías han abierto una multitud de posibilidades a través de la Realidad Virtual, Realidad Aumentada y Realidades Mixtas.
CI and IR are intangible entities that have proven to be of vital importance in the performance of children and adolescents as a tool for managing stress, trauma, and new challenges. In this way, the "materialization" of IR through new technologies has opened a multitude of possibilities through Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Realities.
Slumber Party vol. I, es un proyecto donde personajes de lo imaginario se materializan en el espacio expositivo, mientras que la representación de lo físico pasa al plano de lo digital interactuando con estos personajes materializados, del reino imaginario y auto creados, ajeno a la realidad. Bajo estas circunstancias, la IR se representa a través de la Realidad Aumentada (AR) mediante el uso de filtros de Instagram que expanden nuestra realidad entrando en el territorio de la Realidad Mixta y sus posibilidades dentro de la creación artística contemporánea.
Slumber Party Vol. I is a project where characters from the imaginary realm materialize in the exhibition space, while the representation of the physical goes to the digital world, interacting with these materialized characters, from the imaginary and self-created realm, alien to reality. Under these circumstances, IR is represented through Augmented Reality (AR) using Instagram filters to expand our reality, entering the territory of Mixed Reality and its possibilities within contemporary artistic creation.
